Racism and freedom of speech

Hi W

This story will be in English, and since it’s not my native language, I learned it in Danish public school, and what I picked up over the years from movies, books, conversations etc. – please take that into account, when you spot mistakes.

This is basically a response to your comment on a post I did regarding increased censorship in the UK, following riots, after an immigrant killed three girls aged 6-7 years old, with a machete.

The story was shared by Elon Musk, the owner of X, the only social media platform not censoring anybody, as far as I know, as long as they stay within the law.

I don’t normally answer comments directly in threads, so I will convert this into a story, for two reasons, mainly because your comment is interesting, and ununderstandable, for me, and because we did some good creative projects in the past. So for old times sake.

For some reason you seem to think that being a freedom of speech “fundamentalist” – which I am admittedly, and proud of it, is racist.

I don’t see the connection at all.

Freedom of speech should be a fundamental right for everybody.

Problems don’t go away if ignored. On the contrary – usually they grow, and eventually become unmanageable.

About four years ago, during the Corona madness, people like me were labelled “Tinfoil Hats” and conspiracy theorists because we had the audacity to seek information about the famous, but very benign virus Sars-COV2, and decided that there was no reason to worry.

We didn’t buy the narrative.

Later we were labelled “Antiwaxers” because we found it strange that it was possible to develop a “vaccine” in record time, and also wondered why we should take it to protect against a relatively harmless virus.

Personally I was very much driven by fear, not for myself, but I had a deep fear that my, at the time 4 year old granddaughter, would get the vaccine, that turned out not to be a vaccine, but an experimental gene therapy technology, with very insufficient and short test period, and later was proven not to have any significant effect, and nobody knew the long term negative side effects.

The politicians and media were able to gaslight, lie and manipulate the population into believing that a virus with a 99,7% survival rate on average, should be in the same category as diseases like Ebola and The Plague.

It was a well orchestrated, coordinated and concerted effort, very well done, and I don’t blame those who bought it.

I assume the reason why they did it was political opportunism, better short-term poll ratings, the media had a field day with lots of readers, and medical companies and their shareholders became very wealthy. Probably all interconnected.

I am very proud that I didn’t fall into the trap, but feel sorry for those who did, because many paid a very high price. But most of all I am relieved that my granddaughter didn’t get the shot, as far as I know.

In 2022 Elon bought Twitter and renamed it X, and luckily he is also a Freedom of speech absolutist. And I wonder how the Corona madness would have played out, if we had the X platform at the time. I think it would have looked very different.

So using the terms racist, islamophobe, far-right, antivaxer, tinfoil hat – there are probably a lot more, does not help. But I understand the intention.

Right now things are exploding in the UK, and I don’t support violence, by anybody or any groups, regardless of skin color, or political and religious beliefs. It’s unacceptable, and counter productive, and will be exploited by people in power, to increase control.

The mainstream media and others may try to tell people that there are no problems in having mass immigration from cultures not compatible with western values, but there are, and they are huge.

Therefore we have to be able to talk about it, and not be called names, doing so.

By following the information on X, which admittedly is very difficult to navigate in, I was  reminded by an old story from the UK, that I read about several years ago. I am talking about the Rotherham scandal, where an estimated 1400 young British girls were lured and caught by organised grooming gangs from mainly Pakistan, and systematically exploited sexually.

That in itself was deeply tragic, but as far as I know, the real tragedy was, that councillors in Rotherham, that where supposed to protect and help vulnerable children, and others, knew about these grooming gangs, but stayed silent, and did nothing, because they were afraid to be called racists, islamophobes etc.

So am I fearful of mass immigration from culturally non-compatible countries? Yes I am, because they are already causing immense problems, certainly in Denmark, but even more clearly in countries like Sweden, UK and France, probably others too.

It is a percentage game, and at some point there is no turning back.

My granddaughter turns 7 years old later this month and starts school at 1. grade next week.

Am I interested in skin color? No, I am not. That has nothing to do with it.

Am I worried about immigration from other countries? No, I am not, as long as people come here to work, and not trying to change society from within, like a trojan horse, creating parallel societies.

But I am worried about totalitarian political ideologies, regardless of what you call it, be it globalism, fascism, socialism, communism, many of which paradoxically are far-left, not right, or political ideologies disguised as religions, like islam.

Overall I call them totalitarian surveillance states, and many countries, Denmark included, are well on our way to being just that.

I am grateful that Elon has created the X platform, where everybody can express their opinions, and I hope it will stay, but I am fully aware that evil forces will try to take it down.

So I make no excuses being a freedom of speech absolutist, and I will fight peacefully with my keyboard, for my rights to a private life, and a safe and congruent society where my granddaughter can live safely. Personally I am not so worried, since I statistically will be leaving this incarnation in about 20 years or so, maybe even earlier.

All the best
